Job Description

The Property Accountant supports property management and client teams by owning the financial reporting and accounting activities for assigned commercial assets. This role is responsible for monthly close, CAM Reconciliations, tenant billing, and OpEx tracking while ensuring accuracy across lease-driven financials. You’ll regularly review leases, manage accrual and gap accounting, and partner with internal stakeholders to support budgets, forecasts, and audits. This position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, comfortable working on-site, and experienced in commercial real estate operations.

Required Skills & Experience

1+ years of accounting / lease admin experience within commercial real estate
Familiarity with operating expenses (CAM Reconciliations, OpEx, SSDD)
Ability to read and interpret leases, loan structures, loan reporting, letters of credit
Accrual and gap accounting experience
Comfortable with on site work model

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Background in budget preparation, reforecasting, or fee tracking
Knowledge of construction management fee tracking, capital budget coordination, or development accounting processes.
Experience participating in external audits or due diligence processes, including preparation of supporting documentation and responses to auditor inquiries
