Job Description
Insight Global is looking for a Kotlin MultiPlatform SME to join a large CPG company. This role will be joining the Commercial IT team and will be working on a sales technology application. This role will build and maintain production-grade mobile application code using native iOS platform (Swift UI), native Android platform (Kotlin), shared components (KMP – Kotlin MultiPlatform). There is a KMP (Kotlin MobilePlatform) layer that contains non-UI functionality, like database interaction that is common to both iOS and Android. This application allows companies to place orders, track how trucks get to and from stores and be a centralized capability for managing communication and information down to the front line. This SME will work to design, build, and enhance native applications that perform reliably in offline / low connectivity environments. This role will work and partner collaboratively with other mobile developer’s product owners, UI/UX Designer, backend developers and architects, and QE to deliver high quality releases. A large part of the mobile app is implemented but it’s not fully certified and production ready yet. Features are about 80% done but has numerous bugs and additional features to be implemented. The ideal candidate will be an expert with Kotlin MobilePlatform for both Android and iOS devices. Pay is around 63-68/hr.

Required Skills & Experience
-8-10+ years of recent experience as a Sr. Mobile Developer
-3+ recent years’ experience as KMP – Kotlin MultiPlatform SME
-Strong debugging and performance profiling skills.
-Knowledge of mobile architecture patterns (MVVM/Clean Architecture) and best practices.
-Hands on experience building offline capable apps, including:
-Local persistence using SQLDelight- SQLDelight is not needed but strong SQL and something applicable will suffice.
-Sync patterns (incremental sync, retries/backoff, connectivity detection, background work)
-Data integrity strategies (idempotency, conflict resolution approaches)
