Job Description
We are looking for a Cable Assembler for a global military‑aerospace cable manufacturing organization in Lumberton, NJ. This role will assemble electronic cable harnesses, follow technical drawings, and ensure high‑quality production for mission‑critical systems. You’ll work hands‑on with wiring, soldering, and testing in a clean, steady production environment.
Job Logistics
Shifts / Hours: 1st Shift (6am-2:30pm)
Location: Lumberton, NJ
Work Model: Onsite
Tools/Tech: Cable testing equipment, soldering tools, wire‑strippers, cutters, small hand tools
DAY TO DAY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assemble electronic cable assemblies and components
• Read work orders, routers, blueprints, and drawings
• Crimp, stake, solder, bolt, screw, and secure components
• Wrap and tie wires to form harnesses
• Insert cables into tubing and apply sealant
• Test wiring continuity and troubleshoot issues
• Mark and document completed harnesses
• Perform preventive maintenance and basic equipment repairs
• Install components such as resistors, transistors, transformers
• Follow all safety rules and quality procedures

Required Skills & Experience
REQUIREMENTS
• High school diploma or GED
• 1–3 months related experience or equivalent training
• Ability to read drawings, blueprints, routers, and specs
• Ability to use hand tools safely
• Strong visual acuity for detailed inspection
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Plusses:
• Prior cable assembly experience
• Soldering experience
• Electrical testing or fiber optic assembly background
