Job Description
This engineer will support the stability and performance of a large, mission‑critical Linux platform in a fast‑paced enterprise environment. They will monitor and support production systems, proactively identify and resolve issues before user impact, and continuously improve platform reliability through automation. The engineer will manage Linux servers, develop Python and Shell scripts to streamline operational tasks, and leverage monitoring tools such as Splunk and Dynatrace to troubleshoot and optimize system performance. They will support release activities, handle escalated production incidents, and contribute to major infrastructure initiatives including server and data center migrations, upgrades, capacity management, and disaster recovery efforts, while participating in a rotating second‑shift and weekend support schedule.

Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years (preference toward 10–15+) experience supporting enterprise Unix/Linux environments
○ Strong Linux OS internals and operational server management experience
- Scripting and automation experience using Python and Shell
- Experience with ITIL processes/ticketing systems (for i.e. Remedy)
Experience with Middleware products app servers and web servers (for i.e. Tomcat, Apache, WebSphere, JBOSS, Oracle WebLogic, etc.)
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Monitoring and observability experience with Splunk and Dynatrace
- Networking familiarity
- Data center migrations, capacity management, and disaster recovery experience
- Cloud exposure
Prior financial services or Bank of America experience
