Job Description
- Design, develop and maintain data pipelines that extract, transform and forward data between APIs and databases.
- Build, test and deploy backend services and integrations that call external/internal APIs and process data for downstream consumers.
- Collaborate closely with other engineering teams, product and stakeholders to define data requirements and delivery timelines.
- Troubleshoot and resolve data and API integration issues in production and pre-production environments.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other developers and contribute to architecture and design discussions.
- Drive cross-team coordination, status updates and clear communication around deliverables and dependencies.
- Participate in design/architecture reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of engineering processes.
- Support on-site interviews and candidate assessments as needed.

Required Skills & Experience
- 5–10+ years of professional software engineering experience, with significant experience working on data/API integrations.
- Strong hands-on experience building services that call APIs and interact with databases (ETL-style work: extract, transform, send).
- Solid backend development skills (language/stack flexible depending on team — include relevant languages used by your org).
- Proven ability to work across teams and stakeholders; excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated leadership potential or prior experience leading technical work or small teams.
- Experience with AWS or cloud-native development relevant to data integration and services.
- Comfortable working in a role that requires frequent coordination and occasional onsite presence.
