Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Power Platform Developer to design, build, and document three business-critical request management applications for a higher education client. You’ll leverage Microsoft Power Apps and Power Automate to digitize and standardize intake processes for Faculty, Staff, and New Hire requests, using SharePoint Online as the backend. The role emphasizes low-code/no-code development, maintainability, and knowledge transfer.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and deploy three independent request form applications (Faculty, Staff, New Hire) in Power Apps
Build and configure SharePoint Online Lists for each application, including columns, views, and lookup fields
Develop Power Automate flows for form submission, email notifications, and multi-step approvals
Implement role-based access (requestor, approver, administrator) and status tracking
Ensure solutions follow Microsoft best practices and minimize custom code (no JavaScript/Azure Functions unless approved)
Create comprehensive documentation for each application (overview, architecture, list design, app logic, flow details, security, maintenance)
Lead a knowledge transfer session for client stakeholders

Required Skills & Experience
3+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Apps (Canvas Apps) and Power Automate (Cloud Flows)
Strong background in SharePoint Online Lists (data modeling, views, permissions)
Experience designing user-friendly forms, validation logic, and approval workflows
Familiarity with O365/Azure AD-based security and role-based access
Ability to document solutions for non-developer audiences (clear writing, screenshots, architecture diagrams)
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Experience in higher education or enterprise environments
Familiarity with configuration-driven logic and Power Platform connectors
Prior work with low-code/no-code solutions and minimal custom development
Ability to troubleshoot and support Power Platform solutions post-deployment
