One of Insight Global's retail clients is embarking on a large-scale network modernization program spanning WAN, LAN, Wi-Fi, voice, and security across store, distribution centers, data centers, and corporate environments. As part of this effort, they are evaluating multiple strategic partners and technology solutions. We need a senior, hands-on network expert to serve as the technical back-stop – pressure-testing proposed designs, validating architectures, surfacing risks, and ensuring that the solutions we select are technically sound, scalable, and implementable at enterprise scale.

Required Skills & Experience
• 10+ years in network engineering/architecture with multiple large, multi-vendor transformations and MSP/outsourcing programs.
• Proven RFP/RFI technical evaluation: can red-team designs, build scoring frameworks, and translate gaps into contractable requirements.
• Hands-on depth in routing/switching, SD-WAN, campus/Wi-Fi, firewalls, and L4–7 services; knows where designs break in the real world.
• Strong documentation chops: HLD/LLD, MOPs, runbooks, acceptance criteria.
• Executive-savvy communicator who can challenge vendors and brief leadership crisply.
• U.S.-based; able to travel for vendor presentations/workshops.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Retail, large multi-site, or high-scale branch experience.
• Certifications: CCIE/CCNP, PCNSE, Fortinet NSE 4/7, ITIL; cloud networking (Azure/GCP) familiarity.
