Job Description

Insight Global Health is seeking four Clinical Pharmacy Specialists in Oncology to support their large healthcare client in the South Jersey area. As an oncology pharmacist at this world-renowned Cancer Center, Pharmacy Specialists will collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to propose optimal treatment practices in line with NCCN guidelines and primary literature. The day-to-day responsibilities involve providing clinical pharmacy services to oncology patients, including counseling, therapy selection, monitoring, and managing adverse effects and drug interactions. They will be expected to deliver in-services on new oncology therapies to the healthcare team and lead pharmacology and therapeutics lectures for fellow physicians. It is imperative that this role is strong in navigating drug shortages and recommending alternative therapies. Other key objectives include precepting pharmacy residents and students, building chemotherapy treatment plans in EPIC, and participating in P&T committee meetings. Additionally, Pharmacists will assist with medication acquisition, including prior authorizations and appeal letters, and work on patient care quality improvement projects and policy development. This position is fully onsite, 40/hrs a week with some on-call requirements.

Required Skills & Experience

- Post Graduate (PGY2) in Oncology required
- Pharmacy Doctorate Degree
- New Jersey Board of Pharmacy Licensure
- Oncology Board Certification (or eligible within 2 years)
