Job Description

We are seeking a Logistics Operations Manager to oversee and optimize daily logistics and supply chain operations in Union, NJ. The ideal candidate will manage warehousing,
transportation, and inventory control, ensuring timely and accurate delivery to our customers. This role requires strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work cross-functionally to support company growth and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee and lead all aspects of daily delivery operations including dispatching, driver assignments, route optimization, and issue resolution.
• Develop and implement logistics strategies, processes and systems to improve service quality and reduce.
• Work closely with dispatchers to ensure efficient communication between drivers, customers, and internal departments.
• Monitor and improve performance using delivery KPIs such as on-time rates, customer satisfaction, and route efficiency.
• Utilize dispatching and logistics platforms (primarily Xcelerator) for real-time tracking and scheduling.
• Coordinate logistics with warehousing staff for product intake, staging, and outgoing deliveries—approximately 20% of role.
• Identify workflow bottlenecks and recommend operational improvements that support delivery performance and customer satisfaction.
• Manage relationships with third-party logistics (3PL) providers and carriers, including contract negotiations and service level agreements
• Manage courier capacity planning to support high-volume days and urgent requests.
• Maintain strong communication and service alignment with customers, internal teams, and vendors.
• Ensure compliance with relevant transportation regulations and internal safety standards.
• Train and motivate dispatch, driver, and warehouse team members to uphold the company’s mission and service standards.
• Be the first one in and stay as long as necessary to ensure things are running smoothly
• Act as the first point of contact for escalated delivery or dispatch issues and remain on call as necessary.
• Collaborate with senior management to scale operations across new markets or service areas.

Expected pay: $70k

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in logistics or transportation, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of logistics principles, transportation regulations, and warehousing best practices.
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
• Effective leadership and team management capabilities.
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Experience using dispatch or logistics software (Xcelerator preferred).

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Familiarity with warehousing and last-mile delivery models.
• Experience in healthcare courier services or sensitive/urgent delivery environments
