Job Description
Insight Global is hiring an AV Programmer for a client in the integrated Audio Visual Services space. As an AV Programmer, your day-to-day responsibilities will include designing, developing, and implementing AV control system programs using Crestron and Extron platforms. You will write and maintain code in C++, C#, and Python to support the functionality and customization of AV systems. Collaboration is key, as you’ll work closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to understand system requirements and deliver tailored solutions. A significant part of your role will involve on-site testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning of AV systems to ensure optimal performance and a seamless user experience. You’ll also provide technical support during installation and post-deployment phases, while documenting programming workflows, system configurations, and user guides. Staying current with AV technology trends and recommending improvements or upgrades will be essential to your success in this role.

Required Skills & Experience
5+ years’ experience programming AV equipment.
Proven experience programming Crestron and Extron control systems.
Proficiency in C++, C#, and Python.
Strong understanding of AV system architecture and signal flow.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment.
Willingness to travel to client sites for installation and support.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Certifications such as Crestron Certified Programmer or Extron Control Professional.
Experience with other AV platforms (e.g., AMX, Q-SYS).
Familiarity with networking concepts and AV over IP.
Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
Knowledge of UI/UX design for AV touch panels.
