Job Summary: We are seeking an Infrastructure Middleware Engineer to join our team. This role will support integration development and ensure secure, reliable file transfers and message routing across enterprise systems and partners.
Daily Activities:
Participate in daily stand-ups to review progress and user stories.
Handle numerous support tickets daily, addressing file transfer issues.
Work on migration projects, such as moving from RHEL 7 to RHEL 9.
Automate installation of certificates and other maintenance tasks.
Be available for client calls and on-call support for Managed File Transfer (MFT) issues.
Work with a team distributed globally
Support physical servers in the US and EMEA, with primary and disaster recovery instances.
Key Responsibilities:
Middleware Strategy: Support the implementation, and support of enterprise integration solutions using IBM Sterling File Gateway (SFG) and IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE).
System Management: Manage and maintain middleware infrastructure for high availability, security, and performance.
File Transfers: Develop B2B file transfer workflows, partner onboarding processes, and data transformations.
Integration Development: Implement message flows, error handling, and integration patterns using IBM ACE.
Team Leadership: Provide technical leadership to a team of integration developers and engineers.
Collaboration: Work with application, infrastructure, security, and business teams to define requirements and deliver solutions.
Issue Resolution: Monitor and troubleshoot middleware issues; perform root cause analysis and drive resolutions.
Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation, configuration guides, and operational procedures.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with enterprise standards, best practices, and regulatory requirements.
On-Call Rotation:
Participate in a rotation of 6 people, covering on-call shifts every 6 weeks, including weekends.
Be available for critical incidents, using tools like OpsGenie to manage cases.

5+ years of experience and proficiency with IBM Sterling File Gateway (SFG) and IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE).
Understanding of file transfer protocols (SFTP, AS2, FTP/S) and security (TLS, PGP).
Intermediate skills in Shell and Python scripting.
Familiarity with Ansible, Bitbucket, or Git for code storage.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Experience with containerized deployments.
Familiarity with monitoring tools like Splunk or Dynatrace.
Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS.
Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field.
