A client in South Plainfield, NJ is looking to bring on a Lead Mechanic and a Mechanic to join their team. These will be permanent positions, working 8 hour shifts primarily on 3rd. They will be working primarily on various maintenance tasks on facilities, including mechanical equipment repairs and inspections. This role will mainly focus on performing semi-independent preventative maintenance on PCB Equipment. Duties include, but are not limited to, the following, maintain and replace fans, motors, pumps, chemical tanks, etc. For the Lead Mechanic, the individual will be responsible for guiding a team while handling hands-on mechanical duties.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Perform various maintenance tasks on facilities, including mechanical equipment repairs and inspections
- Performs preventative maintenance and repairs on PCB production equipment and supporting equipment.
- Evaluates and recommends part replacements and new products to lower maintenance and operating costs.
- Respond to Fixx software for down equipment and prioritize jobs.
- Monitor equipment operations to maintain efficiency and safety.
- Fabricate PCB pipes and fittings, running drains, and executing precise mechanical work.
- Adherent to strict safety protocols

- Must possess a New Jersey license and their own means of transportation
- Must possess a high school diploma, GED, or Trade School; associate or bachelors degree for Lead Mechanic
- Ability to read and understand electrical schematics
- Ability to make repairs to electrical circuits
- Experience installing, troubleshooting, and repairing PCB equipment and/or other production equipment and machines
- Experience working with 460 Volt 3-phase electrical systems
- Experience with CMS system
- Experience with HVAC, welding, etc.
- Hands-on work with power tools
- Familiarity with PLC
- Familiarity working with chemicals
- Ability to work weekends and after hours when required
