Our healthcare client is seeking a Mainframe Developer to be based in New Jersey. The candidate will work on building custom output files for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services using Teradata to process and stored data, specifically pulling cloud files from the IBM Mainframe. They will write SQL queries to extract the necessary data to meet client requirements and run jobs on the mainframe, including scheduling, loading, and uploading tasks using JCL and CA7. This role operates within an Agile environment with two-week sprint cycles and quarterly PI planning cycles. The candidate will be responsible for creating technical designs, managing file ownership from new teams, planning file scheduling, and ensuring the files meet design purposes and can hold historical data. Additionally, the role requires Unix/Linux Shell scripting experience. The candidate will collaborate with business owners, data teams, and QA teams to achieve deliverables. This position requires onsite presence one day per week, with flexibility according to the teams schedule.
