Insight Global is looking for a Data Controls & Lineage Analyst to join one of our largest financial clients sitting onsite in Jersey City, NJ. They will be joining the Data Management Technology group that runs the End to End Connected Data Quality Program. There are several polices, standards and controls on systems coming in from risk and regulatory reports that this team will be responsible for helping to create a consistent view across the data flow. Currently, this group is doing a current data state assessment focused on global risk for a targeted set of reports (credit risk, market risk, global compliance). This person will be responsible for collecting, documenting and analyzing the data controls, metadata and data lineage. On a day to day, this person will rationalize the current state metadata, data lineage and data quality controls across risk and finance systems, asses the effectiveness of existing data controls against risk, work with stakeholders to enhance current metadata to align with new standards, and document gaps in current processes to manage the environment and govern all data aspects.

-6+ years of metadata, data quality, data management, and data governance experience
-Strong experience documenting Data Controls, Data Lineage, Data Elements, etc.
-Knowledge of system and data architecture translation of data between systems
-Experience working at a financial institution
