Insight Global is looking for a Formulation Chemist to join the research group for one of our pharmaceutical clients in Bridgewater, NJ. This person will focus on targeted non-viral formulation development for RNA/gene-based therapies. Responsibilities include synthesizing, developing, and characterizing nanoparticle-based formulations through various techniques. Additionally, data processing and analysis through excel will be required. The ideal candidate for this role will have hands on experience with the above mentioned formulation and development, possess a high degree of organization, and have strong verbal and written communication skills. This position will start as a 6 month contract and sits 5 days a week in Bridgewater, NJ.

- Bachelors degree in Pharmaceutics, Chemistry, Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field
- 3+ years of work experience
- Hands-on experience in nucleic acid drug formulation and development
- Experience with nanoparticle-based characterization techniques (DLS, NTA, SDS-PAGE, UV, SEC, HPLC and fluorescence microscopy)
- Experience with protein synthesis, RNA delivery, and stability testing
- Proficient in Excel
- High degree of organization and time management
- Masters or PhD in Chemistry, Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field (years of experience required depends on education)
- Experience with bioconjugation and targeted delivery
- Experience with GraphPad Prism for data analysis
- Experience using Empower software in the lab
