Job Description

Walgreens is looking for a Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse or Registered Nurse to provide advisory services to customers on how to manage any health conditions they are experiencing as part of the Health Corner initiatives in their retail stores. The primary goal is to ensure the successful utilization of Health Corners. Works alongside Health Corner Advisors and other staff. Addresses health-related questions posed by the customer and provides educational material and information, and as necessary, referring the customer to the appropriate clinical provider. Provides training to Health Corner Advisors on existing diagnostic devices and instruct them on the proper use and setup. Handles escalation and assistance with complex customer needs/questions and solutions. Provide adoption of existing products and services that complement customer care, and refer them to other resources, services, and potential solutions related to their condition. This role will serve as lead role in escalated healthcare assistance and advice but will not diagnose or prescribe therapy for the customer based on their condition. Practices within the scope of practice of professional licensing body and/or scope defined by company.

Required Skills & Experience

* Active licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse with appropriate license in the state in which working

* At least 1 year of experience. Self-directed with excellent time management skills and able to work independently

* Current CPR or BLS certification

* Comfortable approaching customers and potential patients in the store, eagerness to be patient facing

* Comfortable with digital technologies such as website forms, mobile applications, PC/tablet systems, and in-store systems and connected healthcare devices

* Experience drawing blood or open to being trained (ideally within the past 6 months)

* Experience administering injections (ideally within the past 6 months, if never, the candidate is disqualified)

* Experience providing direct patient care (ideally within the past 6 months)

* Experience and comfortability immunizing adults and children 3 years of age+

* Experience with telephonic outreach to patients regarding clinical or non-clinical services (if no prior experience, must be open to it for this role)

* Yellow Fever vaccine certification from CDC (must be open to earning it or disqualified)

* NPI number (must be open to earning it or disqualified)

* Experience taking blood pressure with a manual device (ideally within the past 6 months, if never, the candidate is disqualified)

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

* Two years of experience working in high touch retail environment

* Bilingual in English and Spanish (please refer to the tracker if location requires bilingual)

* Experience in assisting customers to resolve complex issues

* Past EMR/EHR experience
