One of our clients is looking for Medical Assistant to join their team at the dental office. This person will effectively and efficiently schedule treatment and admission consultation appointments for patients for our student doctors and/or specialists. Primary responsibilities will include triaging incoming calls requests, scheduling patient appointments, assisting with appointment cancellation or rescheduling, and documenting and updating patient accounts in the axium system. The Receptionist will multitask and navigate through multiple incoming calls, and language line conferencing for non-English speaking callers while documenting the call electronically. In addition, the Receptionist will be responsible for answering patient questions and making independent decisions for non-complex issues.
1+ years experience in a healthcare setting as a MA or CMA
Experience handling a high volume calls and multiple lines
Hospital/ Healthcare call center environment experience
Bilingual Spanish/English
Previous experience within a dental, medical, or higher education environment
