Job Description
Insight Global's Healthcare client in Northern NJ is seeking a L3 Network Engineer supporting their network environment.
Daily Responsibilities will include:
Configurating and installation of networking products from multiple vendors
Working closely with Palo Alto & Cisco ASA Firewalls - Routing & Switching
Manage and maintain the Palo Alto and Cisco ASA security infrastructure, including firewall policies, VPNs, and security rules.
Conduct regular security assessments of the company's infrastructure and identify vulnerabilities and risks.
Develop and implement security policies and procedures to safeguard the company's information assets.
Monitor security systems and networks for suspicious activity and respond to security incidents as necessary.
Collaborate with other teams to design and implement security controls for new infrastructure projects.
Stay up to date with emerging security threats and trends, and make recommendations for improvements to existing security measures.
Conduct regular security training and awareness sessions for employees to ensure they are aware of security best practices and policies.
Maintain documentation of security controls, policies, and procedures.
Required Skills & Experience
Minimum 7 years of experience in IT or related fields
Active CCNP certification - required
3 or more years of hands-on experience designing, implementing, and operating complex enterprise networks
Intermediate knowledge and emphasis on network automation via Python, APIs, or well-established 3rd party frameworks
Intermediate multi-vendor routing and switching knowledge (Cisco, Arista, and Juniper)
Intermediate knowledge in routing, multicast, and overlay protocols (BGP, EIGRP, PIM, VXLAN)
Intermediate knowledge in switching protocols (RPVST, MST, VLANs,
Intermediate knowledge in network security technologies (Firewalls, VPNs, 802.1X)
Intermediate knowledge in Quality of Service (Cisco [wired and wireless], Arista, Juniper)
Intermediate problem analysis, troubleshooting, and solving skills
Knowledge of wireless & voice technologies and practices
Knowledge of DNS, DHCP, and IPAM
