Job Description

An employer is seeking a PERM Workday Implementation Manager to support the corporate business technology organization for a large pharmaceutical company. This candidate will be responsible for the following:

* Provide technical guidance and expertise in Workday to business teams, internal and external configuration teams, developers, testing teams, compliance, and other project members.

* Perform analytical support and technical analysis of requirements to generate solution specifications.

* Offer Workday domain expertise to support and develop resources across the Workday Squad.

* Identify areas for process improvements in the HR domain and actively participate in continuous process improvement activities.

* Research future software releases for ongoing process improvement and innovation.

* Lead the resolution of cross-functional and cross-platform issues, tradeoffs, and risks in alignment with enterprise, squad, and program objectives.

* Collaborate with teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions.

* Work with a team of developers and software engineers to support and develop integrations to downstream systems and data repositories.

* Stay informed about current technology trends, experiment with and learn new technologies, and actively participate in internal and external technology communities.

* Collaborate with partner teams to explore internal software solutions that enhance efficiency and enable more resilient code as infrastructure.

* Manage, grow, and maintain vendor relationships to ensure effective communication and execution for innovation opportunities, upgrades, and support.

Required Skills & Experience

- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience is required.

- Minimum of 3 years of Workday integration experience is required.

- Deep experience related to Workday core HCM configuration and advanced integrations (e.g., EIB, PECI/PICOFF/Studio - XSL, XSLT, XPath, BIRT) and Workday Extend with a demonstrable understanding of software engineering principles.

- Experience in architecting, estimating, solutioning, building, and testing Workday functionality is required.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Experience leading Workday Integration workstreams and Extend deployment through full lifecycle implementations is preferred.

- Proficiency in tools such as JIRA, Webmethods, Informatica On-Premise and Cloud, SharePoint, Visio, RPA tools, PowerApps, and Testing Automation tools is preferred.

- Experience integrating with Data Repositories/Warehouses, Payroll and Benefits Systems, and Learning and Development Systems is preferred.
