Description: Marketing Copywriter

LexisNexis is looking for a part-time contract Copywriter/Project Manager to join our Marketing team. The ideal candidate will be an excellent writer who can both create and repurpose compelling content to differentiate our products from our competitors. To be successful in this role you will have experience writing for B2B audiences have a passion for learning about our products and how they help customers. You will also need be comfortable with creating a variety of marketing materials from product literature pieces to e-books blog posts white papers and powerpoint pitches. The Marketing Copywriter will work within the Product Marketing team to develop creative and persuasive copy.

This is a remote opportunity but will prefer candidates be in the East Coast time zone given the global nature of the business.

Candidates must be able to manage multiple projects from concept through to completion. Work will be developed to meet business objectives be in line with the LexisNexis brand voice and inspire with innovative thinking and superior writing style.

Responsibilities:
  • In partnership with the Product Marketing Managers concept and develop exceptional copy that speaks to the target persona clearly articulates the value proposition and helps achieve the business objectives
  • Maintain consistently high standards of writing across various communication types ie: literature case studies emails white papers blog posts etc
  • Collaborate creatively with graphic designer and project owner to come up with compelling marketing materials that separates us from our competitors ex. Sales presentations
  • Thoroughly grasp the LexisNexis brand voice to create impactful marketing materials and maintain a consistent tone across all products and the brand
  • Develop and proactively maintain knowledge of LexisNexis products and target audiences to ensure copy is relevant and meaningful
  • Proof copy provided by other writers/freelancers to make sure they are grammatically correct error free and follow LexisNexis standards.
  • Assist Product Marketing Managers with uploading/tagging dissemination and communication of finished marketing pieces to stakeholders.

    Qualifications:
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects and responsibilities under tight timeframes
  • Strong concept and writing skills ability to deliver work that is aligned to the creative brief and the business goals
  • Ability to write for a variety of project types from promotional email copy and blog articles to detailed white papers and customer case studies
  • Desire to understand and write for a variety of targets audiences across many areas of business
  • Attention to detail punctuation grammar tone of voice a must
  • Energy enthusiasm and creativity
  • BA in Communications English or Marketing
  • 3 years of copywriting experience in advertising B2B or related fields
  • Writing samples must be provided
