Job Description
We are seeking a Principal Systems Analyst / Data Engineer to support enterprise mainframe modernization and capacity management initiatives. This role will focus on developing analytical and reporting capabilities to evaluate workload behavior, consumption patterns, and platform reduction efforts across both mainframe and distributed environments.
The ideal candidate will operate as a highly technical contributor with a strong engineering and analytical background. This is not a traditional Systems Analyst role, but rather a backend-focused engineer who can independently pull, analyze, and interpret large-scale data to drive meaningful reporting and executive visibility.
This position plays a critical role in building KPI reporting, workload analysis, and executive dashboards that demonstrate how modernization programs are supporting production and reducing mainframe utilization and operational complexity.
Compensation: $70 - 90/hr
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
Benefit packages for this role will start on the 1st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
