Job Description
Sturm, Ruger & Co. is seeking a full-time Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to support onsite occupational health and clinical needs. This role is responsible for treating minor illnesses and injuries, assisting with and conducting pre-employment drug testing, and managing inventory of medical supplies and OTC medications. The CMA will work in an active manufacturing environment and must be comfortable working around loud gunfire. Strong clinical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced setting are essential.
Physical Demands:
Associates are frequently required to stand; walk; use hands and fingers, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The position can involve sitting, walking and lifting up to 40 pounds throughout the day.
Requirements:
Minimum of 18 years of age
Pass both a background check and drug screen.
This is an hourly position. Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Approximately 10am-6pm

Required Skills & Experience
• Treatment of minor illness and injury
• Assist in and conduct drug testing for new hires

• Phlebotomy & Finger sticks
• Vaccine Administration
• Hearing Testing (SHOEBOX) - Training can be provided
• Vital Signs
• Assist medical provider during onsite medical clinics (once per month)
• Record keeping and scheduling
• Assist with annual health fair planning and implementation
• Maintain a clean and organized environment
• Other duties as assigned by the OHN
• Ability to communicate effectively with associates at all levels
• Motivated, reliable, organized, and punctual
• Demonstrates excellence in interpersonal, verbal and written communication
• Ability to work independently with minimal instruction
• Positive attitude and a team player
• Ability to keep pertinent medical information confidential
• Experience with Email, Excel and Word
