Job Description
Insight Global is seeking an MS Access & SQL Server Application Developer to support and modernize critical state government applications. This role is heavily focused on day‑to‑day application support, troubleshooting, and modernization of legacy MS Access applications with SQL Server backends.
The resource will act as backup support for daily operations, work directly with agency divisions to resolve issues, and help rewrite and maintain Access applications. This is a hybrid role requiring 3–4 days onsite per week in Concord, NH, and could potentially consider remote for an all star candidate.
Day to Day Responsibilities:
-Support and modify MS Access applications with SQL Server backends
-Verify nightly vendor file transfers for licensing systems
-Troubleshoot and resolve application issues with internal divisions
-Rewrite legacy Access ADP applications to ACCDB
-Review and modify table structures and underlying data
-Configure and support SSIS jobs
-Perform SQL Server installations, patching, and troubleshooting
-Support SFTP file transfers
-Communicate technical issues clearly to non‑technical end users
-Work onsite in a law‑enforcement environment
Compensation:
$45 to $50 per hour

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Required Skills & Experience
-5+ years of experience developing and supporting MS Access applications (2010+), including ADP and ACCDB
-5+ years of experience working with MS Access applications tied to SQL Server backends, including tables and data
-5+ years of experience with VBA / VBS scripting (extensive, hands‑on)
-5+ years of experience with MS SQL Server (2008, 2016+), including writing SQL/T‑SQL
-5+ years of experience configuring and supporting SSIS jobs
-Experience modifying and troubleshooting production applications
-Experience supporting day‑to‑day application operations and working directly with end users
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Experience with SFTP / secure file transfers
Experience supporting licensing or regulatory systems
Government or public‑sector experience
SharePoint, GitHub, Jira
Power BI or PowerApps
Interest in continuing beyond the project end to support daily operations
