As an AWS Cloud Automation Engineer, you will be a key member of the AWS squad that continually develops cost efficiency solutions in using AWS services and develop auto-scaling solutions to operate at scale with zero downtime. This Squad's primary role is to review the architecture and implementation patterns and design & code automation capabilities to operate efficiently and deliver cost savings on current AWS spend. As an AWS Cloud Automation Engineer, you will lead the implementation of design optimizations in AWS using infrastructure-as-code and other prominent cloud automation tools/technologies.
Responsibilities:
Develop critical infrastructure components using infrastructure-as-code and various orchestration and automation tools
Deploy and maintain critical applications on legacy and/or cloud-native microservices architecture such as ECS and EKS
Use scripting languages or supported SDK's to perform configuration management, and infrastructure orchestration (Python, Java, Bash)
Perform technical troubleshooting and implement architectural changes to cloud native application environments
Design and implement secure automation-based solutions for development, testing, and production environments
Measure performance and health of applications and infrastructure based on provided tools/technologies
Continuously evaluate current cloud-based systems and processes against industry standards and best practices
4+ years of experience or exposure to microservices architecture and technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, EKS, ECS
4+ years of experience working within an AWS or cloud environment and supporting cloud native applications and platforms
5+ years of demonstrated experience with software engineering and infrastructure engineering across multiple environments
Ability to provide clear and conscience communication to business owners as well as technical personnel
Master's or Bachelors in computer science, or software engineering domain
Previous experience as an engineer for a financial services organization
