Job Description

A growing client focused on building customized automation equipment primarily for the Medical Device/Life Sciences industry is looking to grow their team with Mechanical Project Engineers to support their Hudson, NH facility. As part of this team, the Mechanical Project Engineer will take on projects from conceptual design through installation at customer sites. The Mechanical team comprises of about 30 engineers and technicians and provides the opportunity to grow from within.



As a Mechanical Project Engineer, you will manage all aspects of the project including conceptual design, build, test, and installation. These projects can range from small individual parts and fixtures to large complex systems with up to 10,000 integrated parts. This person will be responsible for building the 3D model of the machine in Solidworks, design custom parts, procure the materials necessary, and lead the overall design of the automated machine. This person will also be attending customer meetings to review designs, provide status updates of the project, facilitate demos, and answer any questions. If applicable to your background, this role can also involve overseeing up to 5 technicians building out the machine, debugging, factory testing, and ensuring site acceptance of the machine.

Required Skills & Experience

- 5+ years of 3D CAD modeling/design experience -- Solidworks preferred

AND

- Project Engineering/Management experience -- customer interactions, manage schedules, budget, etc.

OR

- Machine/Automation/OEM design experience (custom machinery preferred but ok with other industries if parts in assembly are at least 50-100 parts integrated)
