Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a 5th Gen Simulation Software Integration Engineer to support Fighter In A Box (FIAB) capabilities for the F 22 and/or F 35 synthetic environments. This role supports Modeling, Simulation, and Training (M&S) integration efforts at Nellis AFB, NV.
As part of an on site engineering team, you will help deliver high end Advanced Tactics, Training, and Test capability for Government personnel operating under USAFWC/ACC by supporting the development, refinement, and integration of FIAB software within the JSE architecture. This role requires direct experience with 5th generation fighter mission systems and is focused on high fidelity software integration rather than general simulator operations.
Key Job Responsibilities
Provide on site support for the 31st Combat Training Squadron’s JSE training systems at Nellis AFB. As a member of the JSE Engineering Team, you will focus on the troubleshooting, configuration, optimization, and development of the F 22 and/or F 35 FIAB for advanced synthetic test and training environments within JSE at the JITTC N. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Support daily FIAB operations by monitoring system performance and ensuring stable execution within JSE.
• Troubleshoot FIAB issues by reviewing FIAB source code and/or JSE Platform Plugin (JPP) source code.
• Integrate 5th generation FIAB mission system models, sensor models, software interfaces, and avionics behaviors into the JSE synthetic environment.
• Develop enhancements, resolve defects, and optimize FIAB software performance within distributed or real time simulation architectures.
• Integrate FIAB capabilities with other JSE and non JSE platforms across synthetic training and test environments.
• Assist with accurately documenting, reporting, and tracking deficiencies related to FIAB and JPP components.
• Collaborate with Government stakeholders, pilots, and mission systems SMEs to support reliable, high fidelity synthetic testing and training capability.
Compensation: $62/hr to 67/hr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start day 1 of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
