Job Description
Insight Global is looking for a Database Developer 3 for our large-enterprise casino/gaming client here in Las Vegas, NV. In this role, they will design, develop, and maintain databases or systems that access or integrate with databases throughout their multiple properties. They will also acquire and analyze requirements from stakeholders and users, configure and test new data stores for functionality and compatibility, optimize stored procedures and other database objects for performance and efficiency, document the system details and maintenance process, train DBAs on database administration and management, and collaborate with other developers and engineers to ensure the quality and performance of the data pipeline. They will also troubleshoot and resolve any database issues or errors that may occur.
Required Skills & Experience
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
* 5+ years of experience in database development and administration
* Strong knowledge of the development and deployment of enterprise-wide databases and related systems
* Strong skills in data modeling, physical database design and logic
* Proficiency in SQL and ad-hoc SQL queries
Experience with Databricks (pySpark, SQL), Teradata, and other data platforms
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
* Certifications in database development or administration
* Familiarity with software design principles and systems analysis and design skills
* Ability to extract data dependencies and flows from user and engineer interviews
Knowledge of database security, backup and recovery, and performance tuning
