Job Description
Senior SQL Database Administrator.
Remote/telecommute.
Work hours: 8:00am - 5:00pm Pacific time M-F.
Emphasis on tuning scripting/queries database installs and refreshes Always On/SQL Replication/SSIS/SSRS a plus.
Education: Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Experience.
Can you please provide a summary of the project/initiative which describes whats being done?
We are bringing up new markets from New Mexico NM into our SIERRA datacenters which requires new server builds with application/database installs custom applications with associated databases data migration into our existing OCMW Touchworks APM and other interfacing applications etc. There are also a number of New Mexico NM reporting requirements.
What does the ideal candidate background look like ex: healthcare specific background etc.? We want to be as specific as possible with our firms so they can find the type of candidate youre looking for.
Hands-on experience with SQL Server configurations SQL Reporting Services SSRS configuration and support SQL Integration Services SSIS configuration and support database security access administration ability to review SQL queries and stored procedures and offer out performance improvement recommendations knowledgeable maintaining/creating SQL Indexes and Statistics. Hands On support of Always On/Availability Groups and SQL Replication environments a plus.

What does the team structure look like - how many members and what is the break-down of the teams skill sets ex: 1 PM 4 Developers etc.?
The UHCNV SQL DBA team currently consists of 2 FTE Sr. SQL DBAs and 2 Sr. Oracle DBAs. The SQL team members have the above-mentioned skills. As support is required to be available 24x7 the current SQL DBA team members are doing the best they can with the amount of workload. The bringing in of New Mexico NM adds additional workload.

a. How many rounds?
Round 1: Interview with DBA Manager Round 2: Technical Interview with SQL DBA team members Round 3: Possible interview with SQL DBA Manager and Director of Technology.
b. Video vs. phone?
Video preferred
c. How technical will the interviews be?
Round 1 could include some general technical questions to determine areas of expertise. Round 2 is technical where candidate might be asked to talk through configuration scenarios and/or be given a performance problem and asked for options for resolution etc.
d. When do you anticipate starting the interview process?
As soon as the position is fully-approved.
