Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Design Project Manager for a growing engineering consulting client focused on complex facility design and delivery. This person will be supporting large‑scale industrial and life sciences projects across the country. The ideal candidate brings deep experience in facility planning, conceptual engineering, and design execution. This individual will work closely with clients to translate high‑level visions into executable designs, lead multidisciplinary teams, and help scale a growing engineering practice. As the Design PM, the ideal candidate will execute planning, coordination and delivery from initial concept all the way through issued-for-construction documentation. Additional responsibilities include:
• Ensuring projects are delivered in alignment with scope, quality standards, client expectations and financial goals
• From concept feasibility, consulting phase, into engineering schematics, post design services and closeout
• Leading internal teams (mechanical, electrical, architecture, plumbing, process, etc.) through design phases
• Heavily involved in client facing interactions to help facilitate communication and expectation management
• Management of design change, scope adjustments, fee impacts and design revisions
• Tracking of project financial performance (labor budgets, forecasts, profitability, etc.)
Project types will include: food & beverage, pharmaceutical manufacturing, animal health, R&D labs, other various advanced manufacturing facilities

Required Skills & Experience
3+ years of experience in Project Manager role for design focused or A&E firm
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Background in biopharma, food & beverage or life sciences industry
PMP certification
