Job Description
Day to Day:
- Provide deployment, configuration, and support across campus, data center, and WAN environments.
- Troubleshoot firewalls, VPN tunnels, and connectivity issues.
- Participate in project work and daily operations.
- Perform after-hours changes and participate in 24x7 on-call rotation.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and recommend design solutions.
- Deliver training and technical support to users with varying IT proficiency.

Required Skills & Experience
Must Haves:
- 5–10+ years of experience in network and security engineering across routing/switching, data center, wireless, VPN, and cloud services.
Strong hands-on experience with:
- Cisco: ISR/ASR Routers, Catalyst/Nexus Switches, Wireless LAN Controllers, Access Points, ISE/NAC, SD-WAN
- Firewall & VPN: Palo Alto NGFWs, GlobalProtect, IPSEC tunnels, SSL decryption, URL filtering
- Protocols: BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, HSRP, VRRP, GLBP, MPLS, VRF, VSS/VPC
- Cloud & Virtualization: AWS (VPCs, Security Groups, Direct Connect), Azure, GCP
- Security & Monitoring: IPS/IDS, QoS, NIST standards, network monitoring, packet capture analysis
- Automation & Scripting: Python, VBScript, PowerShell
- Load Balancing: F5
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
Cisco CCNP or equivalent experience preferred.
