One of our clients in the Insurance Industry is looking for a Sr. Data Engineer to work onsite in Omaha for their team. This engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining scripts and jobs that are required to extract, transform, clean, and load data into operational data stores. A key focus will be on rewriting DataStage legacy scripts and refactoring them into Python. This role will also provide mentorship and technical support to less experienced designers and serve as a project technical lead for mid-sized data projects. This role is a permanent position and can pay $100,000 to $130,000 per year annual salary. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field
- 8 + years of Data Engineering experience to include data warehousing
- 8+ years of experience using ETL tools, preferably DataStage, but any will suffice
- 6+ years of SQL experience
Proficient at writing queries from scratch
Proficient at performing date analysis, including forecasting dates
- 2 + years of experience with Snowflake
- 2+ years of experience with DBT
- 2+ years' experience developing or deploying data solutions in a cloud environment (AWS, Google or Azure all acceptable)
- Experience rewriting legacy scripts and refactoring to Python
- Experience with version control tools such as Git or GitHub
- SQL programming in a DB2, SQL Server, or Oracle environments
- Workday programming experience
- Experience with Docker/Jenkins
- Experience mentoring or leading others in a technical environment
