Job Description

This company is one of the country's leading renewable energy developers, with more than 25 GW of renewable projects in development across the United States and significant growth planned in the near future. The Energy Transition Analyst will play a vital role in exploring, analyzing, and championing new opportunities in the energy market. In this role, you will conduct advanced energy analytics, develop flexible and scalable tools to assess opportunities, and work with traditional renewable generation, carbon capture & sequestration, hydrogen energy and its derivatives, and other near commercial technologies. You will be a key contributor to strategic and opportunistic transactions that enhance value across business units. Your responsibilities will include integrating multiple data sources, developing complex technoeconomic and financial models, sensitivity and scenario analysis, and trend analysis to create original ideas and challenge stale conclusions. Solid data analysis capabilities, excellent communication, and presentation skills, and understanding of energy markets or project finance are a must. A successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional intellectual curiosity and the ability to navigate challenging environments with a steep learning curve.

Required Skills & Experience

· Bachelor's Degree in Business or Data Science

· 3-5 years' experience in one of the following:

o Energy industry, particularly in renewables, energy transition and decarbonization

o Commodity trading and marketing

o Banking equity research

o Consulting

· Experience with financial statement preparation and analysis

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

· Advanced Excel skills including coding and utilizing APIs and VBA macros

· Graphical Information Systems (GIS)

· Financial Accounting
