Insight Global is looking to add a Backend Developer to a marketing client's team in St. Louis, MO. This person will work closely with the frontend development team to take their mockups, style guides, and prototypes to develop them into a fully functional custom WordPress theme using JavaScript, HTML, & CSS. This person will also attend kickoff meetings and developmental approval meetings to take notes of client's desires and expectations, while also providing recommendations on how to best accomplish tasks while staying in the scope of a project. This person will also be responsible for website maintenance and troubleshooting.
Strong understanding of WordPress, HTML, PHP, and CSS.
Strong understanding of JavaScript.
Experience with website migration, deployment, and DNS.
Basic Adobe Suite Skills
Experience converting mockups to fully functional WordPress themes.
Experience troubleshooting and modifying existing sites built by others.
Experience with Linux and command lines.
Experience with REST APIs.
General understanding of SEO best practices.
Experience using Salesforce.
Experience with project management tools such as TaskRay or Trello.
Past marketing agency experience.
Experience developing custom WordPress plugins.
