Job Description
The Floating Closer (Escrow Officer) is responsible for managing real estate closings across multiple branch locations, providing coverage and support when offices need additional help or when staff are out on leave. This role handles the full closing process from file preparation through funding and recording. The Floating Closer works closely with processors, lenders, realtors, buyers, sellers, and other title companies to ensure a smooth, compliant, and timely closing experience. Strong communication, accuracy, and the ability to adapt quickly to different office environments are essential.

Required Skills & Experience
Minimum 2–5 years closing experience
Title background — must have worked at a title agency or underwriter
Ability to jump into an active desk and run with it
Strong knowledge of closing processes, documents, and compliance
Reliable transportation for regional travel
Professional communication and client‑facing confidence
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
10+ years closing experience for the upper salary tier
Well‑established network within the St. Louis title community
Experience floating or covering multiple branches
High adaptability and comfort with shifting priorities
Strong problem‑solving skills in complex closing situations
