Job Description
Insight Global is looking to add a Solutions Engineer to our clients team. This role supports the pre‑sales team by owning the readiness and reliability of demo environments used throughout the sales cycle. On a weekly basis, you’ll troubleshoot occasional demo issues or queued system upgrades, especially ahead of upcoming prospect meetings where timing is critical.
You’ll support roughly two demos per week, ensuring demo environments are populated with realistic client data and function correctly end‑to‑end. Demo environments are typically built by another engineer, but you’ll validate data flows, API behavior, and workflows to ensure demos run smoothly. These demos are used across long sales cycles that may span six to eight months, making consistency and accuracy essential.
You’ll work closely with sales and solution consulting partners to support demos and custom proof‑of‑concept work. The team is more backend‑leaning overall, though this role includes some light frontend work to adjust React components as needed. Priorities can shift quickly based on demo schedules, so adaptability and comfort in a fast‑paced environment are key.

Required Skills & Experience
2+ years of experience as a Solutions or Demo Engineer
Node.js experience (back end)
React experience (front end)
Strong ability to consume and debug REST APIs
Familiarity with AWS fundamentals (Cognito, S3, CloudWatch)
Experience with data seeding and environment management
Strong communication skills and ability to partner with sales teams
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Python scripting experience
CI/CD troubleshooting exposure
PHP experience (supporting a legacy module)
Life Insurance or Annuities domain exposure
