Job Description

Insight Global is looking to add a Tableau Administrator to a long‑term analytics and reporting environment supporting a large, enterprise user base in the St. Louis, MO area. This role is focused on owning and operating the Tableau Server platform, not ad‑hoc dashboard development or short‑term project work. The environment has been in place for several years and supports critical business reporting across the organization.
This Tableau Administrator will be fully embedded within a U.S.‑based technology organization, working closely with internal technical teams, data stakeholders, and business users, including senior leadership. The role requires someone who is comfortable operating in a production environment with high visibility and accountability, and who understands the importance of stability, security, and performance in an enterprise analytics platform.
Day‑to‑day responsibilities include administering and maintaining Tableau Server in a Linux and AWS environment, monitoring system health and performance, managing user access and licensing for a large population, and troubleshooting server‑side issues related to performance, connectivity, or data integration. The administrator will regularly collaborate with business partners to ensure dashboards are accurate, accessible, and backed by reliable data sources.
The team operates in a structured but practical delivery model, with lightweight check‑ins and close collaboration between technical and business stakeholders. This allows the Tableau Administrator to spend the majority of their time focused on hands‑on administration, performance tuning, and problem‑solving, rather than excessive process or overhead.
While the environment values strong fundamentals over specific tooling, experience with Tableau Server, Linux, AWS, and SQL is essential. This role is intended for someone who wants to be a long‑term owner of the Tableau platform, deeply integrated into the organization, rather than operating in a siloed or ticket‑only capacity. The administrator will have opportunities to support both ongoing platform optimization and future enhancements as the analytics environment evolves.
There is an expectation that this individual brings a strong sense of ownership, is comfortable explaining technical processes (such as walking through a Tableau Server installation or upgrade in AWS/Linux), and can contribute immediately. This role is 4 days on site and 1 remote in St. Louis, MO.
