Insight global is looking for a candidate to support our client in Kansas City. This position will be responsible for leading the design, implementation, and operation of enterprise technology and data governance within the organization. This person will work with key stakeholders to ensure technology and data policies, design rights, and controls align with the business outcomes and risks associated. This role will own technology and data inventory and mapping, classification and minimization, stewardship model, data access controls, data risk assessments and governance metrics to support compliance, security and AI readiness. This person should come from an industry without heavy regulations and be prepared to come into an environment where they are open to accepting some risk and lacks strict governance.

Required Skills & Experience
Bachelors Degree in Computer science, information technology or a related field
8 years of combined IT/infosec experience
Experience defining policy, decision rights (RASCI), and steward models (Centralized/federated/hybrid)
Experience engaging executive leadership, advancing data literacy, convening steering committees and translating risk into business and financial terms for senior leaders
Experience conducting risk assessments
Experience leading technology and data governance programs
Technical experience with metadata, data cataloging, lineage, MDM, data quality, DSPM/DLP, dataops/data observability concepts and governance platform integrations with data architectures
Experience in project management
Cyber security certification (security+, CISA, CRISC, CISSP)
