Insight Global is seeking a Controls Engineer to join a leading manufacturing organization in Kansas City, MO, specializing in electrical controls and system integration. This role blends design and field engineering, with a strong focus on automation, troubleshooting, and hands‑on support. The Controls Engineer will design and implement control systems for manufacturing environments, develop PLC logic, HMI screens, and overall system architecture, and support conveyor control systems. Responsibilities also include leading field activities such as installations, system startups, debugging, and on‑site support during launch and standby phases. Occasional rework projects—such as panel modifications and VFD sizing—may be required. Required Skills & Experience
· Education: Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering, Bachelor Science Electrical Engineering, or Bachelor Science Electrical Engineering & Technology, or equivalent relevant work experience with a technical degree
· 2+ years of industry experience working for a systems integrator;
· Programming Knowledge (Rockwell PLC/HMI’s are preferred but are open to similar software’s)
RSLogix 5, 5000, RS Networx ,DriveExecutive, DriveExplorer, PanelBuilder PDS, 1400e; 32, RSView Studio
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
VFD is preferred (Rockwell preferred)
