Job Description
DAY2DAY:
A leading provider in the textile and hospitality industry is looking to add a Procurement Manager to their team. This company works with a variety of clients in the hospitality space and provides a range of products including fabric window treatments, bedding, quilting, roller shades, and custom designs. This person will be responsible for the oversight and management of the organization's purchasing and procurement activities. Responsibilities include:
Communicating with the installation, production and project management teams for purchase order requests, submittals and general information
Responsible for ordering everything that goes into their products for window drapery, roller shades and bed quilting (aluminum, stock fabrics, hooks, screws, shade rollers, etc.)
Consistent follow up and relationship building with product vendors to ensure timely delivery for production and installation
Main methods of communication for external suppliers are over email and phone
Little over 15 different vendors that they partner with to order product and materials
Price tracking for frequently ordered materials to ensure informed purchasing decisions and best market price
Use of ERP/tracking systems to enter POs, log pricing, check pricing history, check delivery status and cost savings
Small amount of working dealing with freight distributors and ensuring requested prices fit within overall budget for the particular project

Experience negotiating contracts and pricing with suppliers
PO tracking experience
