Senior AWS Architect

Insight Global is looking for a Senior AWS Architect to join one of our clients in the Kansas City area. This position will be in office 4 days a week! This person will be responsible for helping support the companies online payment processing system. The role will require some development components in terms of doing proof of concepts, but not daily development. This person will help direct the technology and vision of the system to determine how it can be best innovative. This person should have a good variety of architecture skills and not be too siloed into one area of expertise as this role will call for provide collaboration across multiple areas of the business. This is a new developed system but they will continue to look for new ways to improve the architecture. The majority of this role will be doing architecture in an AWS environment with roughly only 10% hosted in Azure.

• 7+ years of experience with AWS and Azure cloud platforms: for this role, AWS will be the primary environment
○ Has architectural knowledge with SOLID principles, event sourcing, modern design patterns, and microservices just to name a few
• Understanding and practice of cloud security and compliance
○ IAM and SCA (SonarQube or Veracode)
• Understands cloud components such as: Lambda, API Gateway, ECS/ECR, CloudWatch, SNS, etc
• Experience with .NET ecosystem, SQL, and understanding of API integration
• Docker containerization expertise
• CI/CD experience with tools or components such as: AWS CodeBuild, GitHub, or Azure DevOps
• Good leadership skills and able to enforce coding/architecture standards

• Payments or FinTech industry background
• PCI compliance audit
• Understanding of payment processing workflows
