Job Description

A Client of Insight Global is seeking a Systems Requirements Engineer to join their aerospace engineering team. This person will be partnering closely with the Chief Engineer and system architects to define and deliver robust solutions. This role involves conducting independent investigations, engaging directly with aircrew pilots to gather operational insights, and translating those findings into actionable system requirements. The engineer will evaluate customer and operational needs to establish system performance criteria, assist in developing system architecture, and ensure all design elements and interface control documents are thoroughly documented and traceable.

The successful candidate will allocate requirements to subsystem teams, coordinate across multiple engineering disciplines, and actively support agile principles and practices throughout the development lifecycle. Responsibilities include participating in peer reviews of requirements, architecture, and designs, identifying process improvement opportunities, and fostering collaboration to resolve technical challenges through root cause analysis and informed decision-making. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance pre-start is required for this position.

Required Skills & Experience

Undergraduate degree in engineering or technical field

Must have 3 -10+ years’ experience within an aerospace, aircraft, or ground vehicle engineering field

Familiar with Cameo Systems Modeler/SysML

Familiar with DOORSExperience and utilizing planning tools such as Version One or JIRA

An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance pre-start

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Experience with Training Systems and/or Boeing military aircraft platforms
