Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented SQL DBA Support Engineer to join our IT operations team. This role is responsible for maintaining, supporting, and optimizing SQL Server databases to ensure high availability, performance, and security across enterprise systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot SQL Server databases in production and development environments.
Perform regular database backups, restores, and disaster recovery testing.
Optimize database performance through indexing, query tuning, and resource management.
Implement and maintain database security policies, including user access controls and encryption.
Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to support application deployments and upgrades.
Respond to and resolve database-related incidents and service requests.
Maintain documentation for database configurations, procedures, and standards.
Participate in on-call rotation and provide after-hours support as needed.

Required Skills & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
3+ years of experience as a SQL Server DBA or Support Engineer.
Azure Experience
Strong proficiency in T-SQL, SSMS, and SQL Server tools.
Experience with SQL Server versions 2016 and above.
Familiarity with high availability solutions (Always On, clustering, replication).
Knowledge of performance tuning and optimization techniques.
Understanding of ITIL or similar service management frameworks.
