Job Description

A client of Insight Global is seeking an experienced BIM Designer to bring expertise in digital design to their growing team in Kansas City, MO. The BIM Designer will play a critical role in transforming design concepts into detailed and buildable plans. You will collaborate with project managers, field supervisors, and fellow designers to model, coordinate, and deliver electrical systems for electrical systems for commercial and industrial construction projects. Other responsibilities include:

Develop and manage detailed electrical BIM models using Revit and Navisworks
Participate in clash detection and coordination meetings with other trades
Create detailed shop drawings, layout plans, and installation documentation
Work closely with project teams to ensure constructability and accuracy
Stay current with BIM best practices and construction technology trends

Required Skills & Experience

2+ years of experience in BIM modeling/design
Proficiency in Revit and Navisworks
Strong understanding of electrical systems in commercial/industrial buildings
Able to interpret construction drawings and specifications

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Experience working for an electrical contractor
