Job Description

Our client, one of the largest U.S.-based manufacturing companies, is looking for an SAP Data Analyst to join their team. The organization is currently kicking off a major migration from SAP ECC to S/4HANA, and this role will play a critical part in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and readiness of Materials Management (MM) data throughout the transformation.
This analyst will be responsible for working closely with functional and technical teams to analyze, cleanse, and migrate material master data, ensuring alignment with the new S/4HANA data model. The role requires a strong understanding of SAP MM structures, data dependencies, and hands-on experience with data migration tools.
Key responsibilities include:
Analyze existing material master data in ECC, identifying inconsistencies, duplicates, and gaps
Collaborate with MM functional consultants to define data transformation rules and business logic
Support the mapping and conversion of ECC data to S/4HANA structures (e.g., MATDOC, valuation areas)
Execute data cleansing and enrichment activities using Excel, SQL, and SAP tools
Perform test loads using LSMW, BODS, or MDG and validate results in S/4HANA environments
Reconcile data between ECC and S/4HANA to ensure completeness and accuracy
Document data issues, transformation logic, and validation results for audit and compliance
Coordinate with other domain analysts (e.g., vendor, customer) to manage cross-functional dependencies
