Insight Global is looking to add a Security Remediation Engineer to our client's team in the St. Louis, MO area. This individual will be responsible for supporting the security needs of our client's infrastructure environment. They will be responsible for tracking and remediating vulnerabilities that come out of scanning tools and write the self assessments and submit them to the appropriate risk management teams and assign action items based off what the vulnerability is saying. This person will spend most of their time analyzing vulnerability and risk findings, validating remediation claims, and reporting on remediation progress. The remainder of their availability will go toward updating knowledge documentation, learning and documenting complex procedures, facilitating risk assessments, responding to audit and security team requests for information, and submitting compliance related questionnaires regarding technical aspects of application platforms. This person will be responsible for reading CVE documentation, deducing residual risk, and determining remediation requirements and dependencies as well. This role is 4 days on site and 1 remote.

8+ years of experience in software engineering, cybersecurity, and/or cyber-auditing
Strong knowledge in security standards and practices for both on-premises and AWS environments
Familiarity with Data Center and AWS infrastructure, including data center network architectures, virtualization, containerization, and AWS products/offerings
Ability to perform analysis and tests to validate findings and remediation claims
A strong knowledge of ITIL operations and agile development practices.
Ability to quickly navigate matrixed environments
Strong communication skills and able to present to high level executives
CCSP, CISSP, or other cloud-focused application security certifications
Experience working in a DevSecOps culture
Previous experience in a software engineering, delivery manager, or a project manager role
