Job Description

The Human Resources Director will oversee all HR functions, ensuring the alignment of HR strategies with the company’s business goals. This candidate will lead, plan, direct, develop and coordinate with others to create policies, activities, and more, ensuring legal compliance and implementation of the organization. Duties may include:
- Collaborate with senior leadership to align staffing, recruiting, and retention strategies with organizational goals.
- Plans, leads, develops, coordinates, and implements HR policies, processes, training, initiatives, and surveys to meet compliance and strategic needs.
- Administers or oversees HR programs, including compensation, benefits, leave, disciplinary matters, disputes, investigations, performance management, productivity, recognition, morale, occupational health and safety, and training and development.
- Identifies staffing and recruiting needs and develops best practices for hiring and talent management.
- Conducts research and analyzes organizational trends, reviewing reports and metrics from HRIS or talent management systems.
- Monitors and ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and updates policies and practices as needed.
- Keeps abreast of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in HR, talent management, and employment law, and communicates relevant changes to upper management.
- Develops and manages the departmental budget.
- Facilitates professional development, training, and certification for HR staff.
- Performs additional duties as required.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years experience in strong HR manager/director role
• People management experience
• Microsoft Office Suite
• Full understanding of compliance and legal responsibilities relating to HR

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Construction related experience
