We are seeking a Junior Data Engineer who is eager to learn and grow. Your first focus will be using python script to automate reporting and to understand Snowflake and Databricks Unity Catalog- specifically how their security model works and how to grant & revoke permissions. The initiative this role is supporting is Snowflake security and cost optimization, so they will learn how to query users and activity in the database. They want to make this reliable by writing Python, read Snowflake, and logging to OTEL for display in Datadog. They will participate in 2 week sprints in an Agile Environment. This role works cross functionally and interfaces frequently with product teams.

Experience doing DBA activity in any database such as Snowflake, MySQL or POSTGRES or UnityCatalog
Great in written and spoken communication
Comfortable working 3+ days onsite per week
Experience with Shell scripting
Proficiency in Python or any modern programming language
Proficiency in Windows OS or Linux OS
Experience with Kanban Board + Agile environment (2-week sprints, daily morning stand-up meetings, guild hour, requirement gathering meeting, sprint planning)
