Job Description
Our client, one of the largest U.S. based manufacturing companies, is looking for an entry level Procurement Risk Analyst to join their procurement team. This person will be trained on their internal procurement risk process, what majors risk the look for on an ongoing basis as well as the tools they currently use in house to perform this work. They will learn how to run specific reports and then perform quantitative analysis followed by communication of those findings to the appropriate team. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong organizational and communication skills. The ideal candidate will be able to work collaboratively with various teams and stakeholders. This role involves a wide range of tasks, including but not limited to reporting, communications, collaboration, compliance and risk assessment, and supplier management. Additionally, they will help send out annual files for update, including supplier code of conduct, VISQ, and diversity information. They will handle ad-hoc compliance requests and assist in giving risk assessments on new potential direct suppliers. They will also conduct market research to identify potential financial risks as well as assist in managing the updating of supplier contact information with guidance from procurement colleagues.
Required Skills & Experience
Either previous experience in a procurement risk based type position OR a desire to join a procurement team with an eagerness to learn and grow in the role.
Strong oral and written communication skills with ability to present ideas in business-friendly language
Analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions (quantitative analysis)
Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP); Proficient in remainder of Office Suite
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, Accounting, Business Management or related field
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
1+ years of experience with demonstrated success in managing projects
Experience working in SAP/Ariba
