Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Regulatory Analyst to join their clients growing team in the utility space. The right person will come from an educational background related to Accounting or Finance and be excited to get into a Regulatory Accounting focused role. This person will be responsible for contributing to multiple regulatory projects throughout the year and specifically be responsible for FERC Docket Filing, Transmission and Generation Formula Templates, and any jurisdictional reporting required by the state. The right person will have a background in the utility space but someone willing to learn should be comfortable and have proven experience with a variety of financial reporting and regulatory duties. This person will be working heavily within the Microsoft Office Business Suite and should be an advanced excel user.

Required Skills & Experience

Requires a bachelor's degree in a business related field -- preferably Accounting or Finance

* Demonstrated experience participating in month, quarter, or year end financial closing processes

* Hands on experience analyzing financial statements and transforming into usable information for stakeholders

* Familiarity with Revenue Requirements or Rate Cases and experience involved with preparing them

* Background in FERC reporting is highly preferred (FERC docket filings, FERC Audits, FERC Form 1 and 3-Q, Jurisdictional

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Utility experience preferred - Retail cost of service, rate design, and state regulation.
