Job Description

A client of Insight Global is looking for an Industrial Engineer to join their production team in the St. Louis, MO area. This individual will be collaborating with various engineers and team members to ensure a best practice is put in place in order to execute and meet project requirements and deadlines. They will be responsible for analyzing the current production system including the people, tools, and processes to evaluate and improve components of the process in place. Through analyzing and evaluation, the Industrial Engineer will continuously update manufacturing requirements to ensure the delivery of the product. Responsibilities also include developing schedule recovery plans, forecasting required labor, and identifying consistencies to improve cost, quality, delivery, etc. This individual will also be monitoring and regulating safety, reliability, and maintainability of the production system. The Industrial Engineer will work onsite 5 days a week and will work 1st shift (8:00am-5:00pm) or 2nd shift (2:00pm-11:00pm).

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelors Degree in a STEM field (Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Engineering Management, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering preferred)

5+ years of experience supporting a manufacturing operation

Previous experience with process improvement, Lean Manufacturing, and data analysis

Ability to work onsite 5 days a week in St. Louis, MO

Ability to obtain secret clearance post start

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Previous experience developing production schedules and recovery plans

Prior experience using data analysis and/or lean manufacturing principles to identify and remove roadblocks from the existing process

Active Secret clearance
